As the name suggests, Four Years Part One is the introduction into a new story by Kevin Czap. Much like Kevin’s Fütchi Perf was a love letter to the community of their long-time home of Cleveland, Four Years is dedicated to Kevin’s current home of Providence, and is awash with warm feelings for close friends.

Four Years opens vertically, and each two-page spread cascades over the comic’s fold. Kevin’s drawings’ lines are also very fluid, and a metaphor of sprouting plants literally pop up half way through the comic. All of this evokes the organic, and borderlessness of friendship, love, and chosen family.
