John Porcellino keeps plugging away, with his poetic and touching existential comics about life, love and loss, and his work gets even more awesome every time he puts something new out. This issue of his long-running KC Comics & Stories is devoted to his beloved late cat Maisie, his best friend. It pulled my cat-loving heart right out of my chest in both celebration and sadness of pets present and past. I wanted to call John up and go, "Thanks for understanding." SO GOOD. -LM
